Latest Update 28 July 2008: Please be informed that we are not affiliated to the organization INTERNSHIPS Asia! Note the S in between Internship & Asia. We in no way speak for them, nor them for us.

As of 1st January 2007, Internship ASIA is now defunct. The website is being kept alive due to the content present which may aid internship seekers.

Internship ASIA is an international online student organisation aiming to be the premier one-stop internship centre for all overseas Asian students. We are currently also part of ReCom, the worldwide Malaysian students network.

In these days, internships are seen as crucial for students to develop an understanding of the “real-world” working environment, to apply what they have learnt and also for exposure to be more “marketable”. On the other hand, for companies, it is a good way to shortlist potential candidates and also to build the company’s overall recruitment brand.

Therefore, all that is needed is a positive, dynamic link between the two!

Highlights from a Career Talk

A talk was organised by the Malaysian society on 13th May 2006 with a focus on internships. The speakers are mostly Imperial College Malaysians in their 3rd or 4th year and they have included quite a well-written article about internships: how it works, where to source for information, links to useful books, etc. So have a look at it from this link.
