Hello members!
We are at the end of the penultimate week of Michaelmas Term (i.e. ITS THE LAST WEEK!!). It's amazing yet scary how a term can pass by with such haste yet remain in our mind with such clarity – I am sure this is especially true for the freshers.
We hope that you have enjoyed the various events held throughout Michaelmas. But really, if there's one thing this term that you cannot possibly miss out on, it will be our end of term bop! Just ask any seniors and they would tell you more ;)
And meanwhile, enjoy (and survive) the last week of the term, which is usually very hectic!
1. CUMSA End-of-Term Bop 2. Pot-Luck / Thanksgiving Dinner with the Post-grads 3. Corporation for Unbelievably Mental Sports Activities 4. Asian Food Festival 5. Others Yours sincerely, Shuting Han CUMSA Secretary ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. CUMSA End-of-Term Bop So we have finally survived 8 weeks of Cambridge and are pretty much all set for our well-deserved Christmas break! But before that, let's take a while to enjoy ourselves one more time with CUMSA's End-of-term 'M' Bop! Date: 3rd December 2008 Time: 10pm till late Venue: Soultree Penthouse Tickets: £2 (members) / £4 (non-members) Here are some other things you need to know: 1. Come dressed in anything starting with 'M' Come in anything starting with 'M' or be very very square! There are enough suggestions on the poster, but think out of the box, be creative and surprise us with your true Cambridge ingenuity. Even if you were to simply dust the dirt off your old army uniforms and come as a member of the military, you'll at least be a part of the crazy 'M' madness! 2. Drinks offers If you love to let your hair loose and have a wild night, or even if you are the sort to just enjoy the occasional drink, CUMSA has negotiated some amazing drinks offers just for you! £2 spirits + mixers £3 beer bottles £1 tequila and sambuca shots £2 soft drinks There will also be some special 'M' cocktails for you on the night! 3. Choose Your Own Music! Well, you have a chance to! If you would like to take over the DJ wheel from our resident DJ, G2 (a la Miss Grace Goon) for future bops, email Grace at

right now. Otherwise, if you have any special song requests/dedications for the night, you can send them to the same email from now till Tuesday noon and we will definitely do our best to accommodate them! 4. How Do I Get Tickets? Wristbands will be sold for £2 to members and £4 to non-members, so that's right, bring all your friends even if they are not from CUMSA and make this a night to remember! You can get your wristband from all CUMSA committee members from Saturday onwards, so start hunting them down! You can also email Debbie at

to make your own arrangements to pick up the wristbands (I am conveniently located at Christ's anyway!). You can also get your tickets from us in McDonald's from 10pm onwards on the night.* * I understand this is a very strange arrangement, but as Soultree is having another big night on Wednesday, we are not allowed to sell tickets on the door itself, as this would create huge confusion for the bouncers who would have to distinguish between two crowds of people. As a result, I would strongly encourage for everyone to get hold of their wristbands before the day itself if possible. We look forward to seeing you, so milk all your creative juices and be magnifcently M-ed up! Feel free to send any enquiries and feedback to me should you have any. xoxo, Debbie
