As some of you might now have known by now, the Overseas Singaporean Unit will be bringing Singapore Day to London on 25th April 2009. This comes on the back of the highly successful Singapore Day 2008 in Melbourne, and promises to be a tremendous event for all Singaporeans in the United Kingdom.

If you always wanted those precious fifteen seconds of fame, the Programmes committee is here. In the programmes committee you will have the opportunity to do scriptwriting, compose music, develop your acting ability or realise your vocal ability.

If creating strategies for promotions of events or formulating and producing publications is your cup of tea, the Publicity committee welcomes you with open arms.

For those who have an eye for design or decoration, and love the challenge of thinking out of the box constantly with prop design and production support, the Logistics committee is the place to be.

Our last event before the end of the Autumn term is Ice Skating at Somerset House! It is known to be the most beautiful outdoor ice skating rink in London, and similar to last year, it is again sponsored by Tiffany & Co., so we can expect lovely Christmas decorations! It doesn't matter if you are a pro, or if you have 2 left feet when it comes to skating, it will still be a unique and enchanting experience for all.

So come bask in the festive spirit of Christmas in London by ice skating outdoors, at night with us (:

Also, as we need to book tickets in advance, after 3rd December, you will have to find a replacement for yourself if you have booked a ticket but are unable to make it. And as tickets are subject to availability, please sign up asap to avoid disappointment!

Last Saturday saw the 60+ brave warriors from Imperial College SingSoc travelling to the University of Nottingham to challenge our counterparts from various universities in the entire UK at the annual Nottingham Games 2008.
