As of 1st January 2007, Internship ASIA is now defunct. The website is being kept alive due to the content present which may aid internship seekers.
1.Who are we?
We are a group of 5 students from Imperial College London with the aim of offering benefits to both students and companies, creating a win-win situation for both sides in the case of internships. The founding members are Wei Cher, Julia, Julian, Jia Hong and Mun.
Recently, we have 19 new additions to our team and they are Syamsul (US), Han Ching (Germany), Yi Shan (UK), Chen Chow (US), Serine (Australia), Jason Lee (Australia), Jason Wong (Australia), Zi Shen (US), Hau Jia (US), Hui Huang (US), Alex (Australia), Maslinda (Malaysia), Salman (Pakistan), Fabien (France), Fakhzan (France), Anand (India), Quynh (UK), Elizabeth (US) and Andrew (UK). We hope Internship ASIA will grow even bigger and faster with connections all around the world. So, if you are interested in joining the team or you would like to add this unique experience to your CV feel free to contact us. 2.Why are we doing this?
Ever felt frustrated searching the web for internships in your own home country? Or frustrated with going to so many websites to find bits and pieces of information. We felt the same way and we are doing this to show that with just a bit of initiative, we can make life easier for ourselves with a one-stop internship centre.
Also, we see that the concept of internships within smaller companies and also in some larger companies isn't that popular. Therefore, to increase the number of internships given out by companies each year, we hope that this initiative will grant the opportunity to more students and also more companies, even smaller companies who think they might not have the necessary resources to handle it.
With regards to what is in it for us, we hope that in the process of doing this we get to learn more things as well. Handling an organisation like this we think is a once in a lifetime opportunity and while we are young, why not do it? And together with that, why not help others as well?
